SJN and Mesa Community College are very pleased to announce the Mesa meeting of SJN Southeast Valley on the evening of July 9, 2009.

SJN Southeast Valley is a collaboration among Southwest Job Network (formerly Scottsdale Job Network), Mesa Community College and Chandler-Gilbert Community College. This employment support group will continue to meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday evenings of each month.

You are invited to join us on Thursday evening, July 9 for an evening workshop, session three of our six-part Job Search Process Curriculum:

Developing Your Resume

Have you written multiple versions of your resume?

Do you change it time after time and wonder if the document is effective?

Have you been posting it on the Internet with no results?

This presentation will take you through:

  • the steps of writing a resume,
  • learning resume formats, headings and what to include,
  • how to write an effective summary;
  • adding accomplishments, and
  • posting your resume online.

Bring your resume and you will work to improve it.

Facilitator, Eric Walton, is a founding Board member of SJN, and Director of SJN Southeast Valley.  Eric frequently makes presentations at SJN meetings on a variety of career transition topics and serves as a member of the Nominating Committee.  Eric is the Chief Operating Officer at Tiempo Development, a software development firm based in Tempe, AZ and has software engineers located in Hermosillo, Mexico. Eric is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience in the computer and high tech industry, ranging from the dot.com startup to the Fortune 500. Eric received a BS in Business Management from University at Albany and an MBA from the University of Arizona.
